4 of Poker’s Nice Pros
Literally millions of players are trying to be the next "star" in poker, but here is a short list of 4 of the more well known "charming pros" of poker. Granted "nice" is associated with their names when you are facing them it’s "no more Mr. Nice guy" until they have put you out of the competition!
Daniel Negreanu
In Two Thousand and Four, his tourney winnings amounted to in the region of 4.4 million dollars and he came away with 2 highly respected awards in the WSOP Player of the Year and Cardplayer Magazine’s Competition Player of the Year. In Feb 2006 he was appointed Card Player’s Favourite Poker Player. Daniel still has the decency to talk with his fans about how they could improve their own game.
Howard Lederer
Referred to as "The Professor" and sibling of fellow poker pro Annie Duke. His success has allowed him to make an educational poker video named "Secrets of No Limit Hold’em" and also hosting a tournament poker show for Fox TV. As of 2005, his complete life earnings exceed 2.7 million dollars.
Scotty Nguyen
Scotty is 1 of the most active players in poker and from Two Thousand and Two Thousand and Four he placed in the money in more than 100 tournaments. He is noted for saying "yeah baby" throughout poker matches and also coined the phrase "that’s poker baby" when alluding to a particularly bad loss. As of Two Thousand and Six, his life time winnings are just about six million dollars.
Chris Ferguson
Chris has earned five World Series of Poker titles with 2 of his wins coming in Two Thousand and Three. Chris has the nickname "Jesus" because of his trademark long hair and beard, that, and along with his ability to toss cards quick enough to slice through bananas and pickles. As of Two Thousand and Five his total poker tournament earnings exceeded $5 million.
