A Couple of of Poker’s Charming Guys
Beyond a doubt millions and millions of players are trying to be the next "mega star" in poker, but here is a short list of four of the more famous "great pros" of the game. Despite the fact that "nice" is connected with their names when you are playing them it is "no more Mr. Nice guy" until they have removed you out of the competition!
Daniel Negreanu
In 2004, his competition earnings amounted to more than four and a half million dollars and he captured two highly admired awards in the WSOP Player of the Year and Cardplayer Magazine’s Tournament Player of the Year. In February 2006 he was chosen Card Player’s Favourite Poker Player. He still has the humility to speak with his admirers about how they will be able to improve their own game.
Howard Lederer
Known as "The Professor" and brother of fellow poker professional Annie Duke. His accomplishments have allowed him to make an educational video called "Secrets of No Limit Hold’em" and also holding a tournament poker show for Fox. As of Two Thousand and Five, his total life time winnings exceed 2.7 million dollars.
Scotty Nguyen
Scott is one of the most active players in professional poker and from 2000 to Two Thousand and Four he finished in the money in more than 100 competitions. He’s noted for saying "yeah baby" during poker matches and also credited with the phrase "that’s poker baby" when alluding to a particularly bad loss. As of 2006, his life time winnings are just about $6 million.
Chris Ferguson
Chris has captured 5 WSOP titles with two of his successes coming in 2003. Has the nickname "Jesus" as a result of his trademark long hair and beard, that, and along with his ability to throw playing cards fast enough to cut through pickles and bananas. As of Two Thousand and Five his total poker tourney winnings exceeded 5 million dollars.
