Web Big Stakes Poker- Gus Hansen

Gus Hansen experienced an amazing year on the WPT where he was the only player to achieve final game in 3 of the competitions. Gus Hansen has been seen on High Stakes Poker on The Game Show Network where he paid $400, 000 to play. You might remember one of the largest pots in high stakes poker history up against Daniel Negreanu. Hansen raked in a massive pot with quads against Negreanu’s full house. Hansen has earned many televised poker appearances and is considered to be one of the greatest bettors anywhere in the world. While participating in internet poker, a different side of Hansen has appeared. He regularly plays in the 200/400 No Limit maximum buy-in of $40, 000. Gus more often than not buys in for the min of $16, 000 and gambles very weak. He waits for a good hand and then goes all-in. I believe Hansen is an excellent poker player but not even close to the regular players at 200/400no limit. Unless Gus is bankrupt, he has absolutely no reason to play at the game with the minimum buy in.

Playing for the min takes a majority of the ability out of deep stack poker. Hansen is accepted to be 1 of the greatest poker players anywhere in the world but he cannot buy-in for the full amt.. I believe television can alter our perception of the real world at times. The greatest players anywhere in the world may be guys you have will not have heard about. Gus can be seen competing in net poker on Full Tilt. He usually participates in big stakes omaha eight-or-better and hold’em. Gus Hansen has shown himself as a competition player. Can he back up his talents in cash rounds?
